Because this position interacts with other employees and customers, the candidate must be able to communicate well with customers and colleagues, and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Learn the duties and be able and willing to function in the position of other team members.
  2. Provide quality assurance reviews of data forensics reports.
  3. In consultation with the Chief Scientist, devise new mathematical and statistical approaches for detecting cheating.

  2. Mathematics background must include Advanced Calculus and Linear Algebra.
  3. Statistics background must include Probability Theory, Linear Models, and Mathematical Statistics.
  4. Five to ten years work experience in statistics and/or applied mathematics.
  5. Ability to communicate expertly through e-mail, phone, and in-person conversations.
  6. Desire to engage, investigate, and solve data anomalies.
  7. Ability to pay meticulous attention to detail and be unwilling to overlook errors.

Helpful Skills:

  1. C programming
  2. Numerical Analysis
  3. Ability to use the “R” statistical environment
  4. Background in Assessment (i.e., psychometrics)
  5. Background in Information Security

Travel: The position entails one or two short trips of two-to-three days per month.  Important conferences (about one per quarter) are longer and can require three to five day trips.

Compensation: Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
