Dear Associate,

The other day I learned that my son Aaron has a good friend who is a world record holder -- and not just any world record. Ben Cook holds the covetable honor (in teenage circles) of text messaging faster than anyone else in the world.

Since cell phone cheating is primarily done through texting, I was fascinated to learn just how fast someone can text message. With all predictive text functions turned off, Ben can enter the following text into his phone in just 47 seconds. "The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human."

I guess texting, “aswr to 6?” isn’t really that tough after all. Ben assured me he never uses his cell phone while taking tests. Thank goodness.

Best regards,
Don Sorensen
