“When I was in school, I cheated on my metaphysics exam: I looked into the soul of the boy sitting next to me.”
Woody Allen

Dear Associate, |
| This week I began an interesting project; I've been reviewing websites that teach how to cheat. These are actual sites and forums by students where they proudly promote their "unique" cheating methods. From the kid that pre-programs his calculator with test answers to techo-boy who uses a dime-sized wireless webcam to transmit test views to his buddy's laptop — each tries to top the others (and the system) with their ingenuity. |
| While many ideas are shared with a sense of amusement every once in awhile I came across a kid on his way to the next episode of The Sopranos . One such bad boy wrote a lengthy missive outlining his Five Ideals of Cheating. Read him and weep. |
| From cheating to organized crime in one straight line; seems little Johnny isn't so innocent after all. |
Regards,
Don Sorensen

7 > PSST. Wanna Buy a Ph.D.?
Chronicle of Higher Education - USA
It was a revelation rich in irony: A member of a college accreditation board holds a Ph.D. from a "university" that sells doctorates to anyone with $1,500. Some professors have dubious doctorates, other professors sell them, and colleges often look the other way. |
