Cheating in the News > February 20, 2004

Dear Associate,
This week's stories cover the problem of wide-spread "examination malpractice" in Nigeria and India, and accusations of cheating in police and firefighter units.
I've also included a link to "To Catch a Cheat" a research paper by Brian A. Jacob an assistant professor at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government, and Steven D. Levitt a professor of economics and social sciences at the University of Chicago.
Look forward to next week when I'll send a link to more in-depth research by the same two professors entitled, "Rotten Apples: An Investigation of the Prevalence and Predictors of Teacher Cheating."
Regards,
Don Sorensen
